Privacy Policy

PawScooty

This policy explains what the PawScooty mobile game (com.appscale.pawscooty), published by AppScale LLP ("AppScale", "we", "us"), collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the PawScooty apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Information we collect

  • Account & sign-in. When you create an account or sign in, we process your email address and an authentication identifier through Amazon Cognito. You may sign in with email, with Sign in with Google, or with Sign in with Apple; in that case the provider shares your email and a user identifier with us. You can also play as a guest without an account.
  • Game progress. Levels completed, stars, best times, unlocked content, and ranked/leaderboard runs, so your progress is saved and rankings work.
  • Purchases. Records of in-app purchases (the Year-1 level pack and cosmetic items) and the entitlements they grant. Payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google — we do not receive or store your card or bank details.
  • Device & technical data. Device model, operating-system version, app version, and crash/diagnostic information used to keep the game stable. Your IP address is processed transiently to serve network requests.

How we use your information

  • Run the game and save your progress across devices.
  • Operate leaderboards and ranked runs, including anti-cheat validation.
  • Deliver and restore your purchases and entitlements.
  • Provide support and diagnose crashes and bugs.
  • Meet legal, tax, and store-policy obligations.

We do not show third-party ads, and we do not sell your personal data.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run PawScooty:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, accounts (Amazon Cognito), databases, and game services. Data is stored in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region, India.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — payment processing and purchase verification.

Where email is used for lookups on our servers, it is stored in a hashed form to reduce exposure of the raw address.

Data retention & deletion

We keep account and progress data while your account is active. You can request access to, or deletion of, your account and associated data at any time by emailing satyam@appscale.in. We will action verified requests within a reasonable period. Purchase records may be retained where required for tax and accounting.

Children

PawScooty is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under the age required by your app store or local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India's DPDP Act and the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
